Ismaili Boys Scouts Association Gilgit – Keeping cities clean

September 28, 2017: Ismaili Boys Scout Association, District Gilgit, participated in a Cleanliness Drive in the largest city of the region. This cleanliness campaign was launched by District Administration Gilgit. Three hundred and forty seven scouts participated in the drive.

In his speech, Ismaili Regional Council Gilgit’s Honorary Secretary, Mr. Shamsher Ali Khan, conveyed the message of importance of cleanliness in one’s life and the society. He further emphasized cleanliness as a prime duty of every individual, to keep one’s surrounding neat and clean.

Assistant Commissioner Gilgit Mr. Naveed Ahmed in his speech appreciated the efforts of the Ismaili District Boy Scouts Association. He paid tributes to the Ismaili scouts for supporting Gilgit-Baltistan government in various social activities. He further expressed his hope that such sort of programs will be organized in the future. He has assured the full support of government of Gilgit Baltistan.
