22nd April 2017: Gilgit Serena Hotel celebrated Earth Day in collaboration with Mehnaz Fatima Educational & Welfare organization. Mehanaz Fatima is an exclusive school which provides education for young children and children with special needs by focusing on the development of human resources, optional learning facilities and community awareness in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Mr. Asghar Khan Acting Manager, Gilgit Serena Hotel addressed on the importance of Earth Day to support for environmental protection. Mr. Ghulam Abbas, Managing Consultant, and Mr. Aman Ullah, CICD, of Mehnaz Fatima Educational & welfare Organization also addressed to the student on the importance Earth Day, how we can reduce our carbon emissions, reduce the negative impacts to the local environment and save our earth. All the students, Teachers and Gilgit Serena Hotel Green Team aimed to “Make Every day Earth Day”.
A painting competition was also held among the students, 20 students participated in this painting competition, Gilgit Serena Hotel present gifts to the winners. The management of Schools thanks Serena Hotels for initiating such activities and awareness for the students.
