Dr. Nizar Kassam – From Tanzania to India to UK to Australia and Canada

After completing GCO level at Morogoro, Tanzania, Nizar Kassam sailed from Dar-es Salaam in 1962 for Mumbai, India, where he completed the MBBS program in 1970. He did his residency in India, Tanzania, and in the UK.

Dr. Nizar immigrated to Darwin, Australia, where he worked as a Resident Medical Officer before joining the group of family practice at Blue Lake city Mount Gambier South Australia in 1972. In 1989, Nizar and his family immigrated to Calgary, Canada 1989. Nizar worked as family physician at a clinic in Olds, Canada, just outside of Calgary. He has been working as a physician in hospitals in Calgary since 2000.
