Parliamentary Secretary for Immigration, Arif Virani, have been engaging in cross Canada consultationsbefore announcing new policy changes in the Fall of 2016.

Expect new announcements involving easier immigration pathways for foreign students (possibly through a revamped Express Entry program); easier options for Canadian employers wanting to hire foreign workers (securing work permit via Labour Market Impact Assessments – LMIA’s – has been increasingly difficult and delay bound); a higher multi-year plan to accept more immigrants to Canada over the next three years; and more.
This is an ambitious government with an ambitious immigration, refugee and citizenship agenda.
