Samarkand: Recipes and stories from Central Asia and the CaucasusCaroline Eden is a regular contributor to the pages of The Guardian, The Telegraph, Financial Times and other publications as well as having a weekly travel page in London’s Metro newspaper.

She has also reported on key events in Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Haiti and Azerbaijan for BBC Radio 4’s From Our Own Correspondent.

Caroline began her career writing travel book reviews for The Bookseller then working for Odyssey Guides and Steppe magazine, both companies with a focus on Central Asia while she studied for an MA from SOAS, University of London.

Her first book ‘Samarkand – a culinary journey through Central Asia’ is a food/travel title about Central Asia and the Caucasus that she has co-authored with Eleanor Ford.
