#BecauseItMatters Profile: Karima ShajaniHave you ever been in the midst of a job search when you realized how many different opportunities were out there? Have you ever thought, if only I had the skills they were looking for, this career would be the perfect fit. Have you thought about heading back to school?

I had the opportunity to chat with Karima, a Communications Project Manager at Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and a graduate of Seneca College’s Corporate Communications Graduate Certificate program.

Many of Karima’s positions after she completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees incorporated research, writing and editing, and she found she enjoyed it greatly. But, what she didn’t realize was that all of these elements combined could lead to a career in communications. So, she decided to enhance the skills she’d been developing on the job with a formalized education at Seneca College.
