Tazim Essani, Yasmin Jetha, listed in ‘100 Women to Watch 2015’

This is the 6th edition of The 100 Women to Watch supplement which was introduced in the 2009 Female FTSE report. It has developed into a highly respected reference point for search firms, nomination committees and others with the opportunity to influence shortlists for Non-Executive Director positions in FTSE 350 companies.

Tazim joined Close Brothers in July 2009 as Group Head of Corporate Development with responsibility for strategy analysis, development initiatives and group acquisitions and disposals.

She has extensive experience of managing large multicultural projects and diverse groups of people.

Tazim previously held similar roles at Royal Bank of Scotland Group, General Electric and Misys helping each of these businesses grow across Europe and the US, mainly through acquisition.  She spent her early career at Barings.

Yasmin JethaYasmin Jetha

Yasmin was appointed Chief Information Officer in October 2009 and is responsible for Bupa’s Corporate IT, Digital and Procurement functions.

Yasmin was previously the Chief Operating Officer at the Financial Times and prior to this, an Executive Board Member of Abbey National Bank, now part of Santander. Yasmin is also an NED for the East African based Nation Media Group. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and in 2005 she was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Leicester.

In 2011, Yasmin was made Honorary Fellow of the University of Bedfordshire.
