Nizar Jivani has urged all Tanzanians to work hand in hand to save lives of fellow human beings by preventing accidents.
The president of the Automobile Association of Tanzania (AAT) urged everyone to strictly adhere to traffic laws.
“It can be done if we all play our part,” Jivani emphasized.
The president paid glowing tribute to Mohammed Mpinga of Tanzania Traffic Police headquarters for continuous support towards road safety.
Jivani thanked Mpinga for his devotion in ensuring his team participates in all road safety projects.
AAT is the oldest automobile organization in Tanzania with more than 1,000 members. The organization is affiliated with the Federation of International Motor Sports and Mobility which represents more than 80 million motorists in 142 countries and 237 clubs worldwide.
Deaths from road accidents in Tanzania have risen from 2,905 in 2008 to 3,468 in 2015.
