His Highness the Aga Khan, founder and Chairman of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and Chancellor of the Aga Khan University, together with the President of the Republic of Uganda H.E.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, today announced a land grant and initiation of the Aga Khan University Hospital in Kampala, Uganda.

The University has been granted a site in the Nakawa area of Kampala to build the hospital. The University Hospital in Kampala will be part of an integrated healthcare system in East Africa dedicated to providing high-quality health care service, education and research that will work to improve the health of all Ugandans as well as employment opportunities.
