“Faith and War: (How) Can They Co-Exist?” Abrahamic Prayers, with Noor Gillani – 2015 Parliament of the World’s Religion

Within our year-long framework “Faith and War: (How) Can They Co-Exist?”, Noor Gillani will present “Faith and War/Violence: The Quranic Perspective” in the parlor at Saint Thomas on Thursday November 5. Professor Gillani recently attended the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Salt Lake City and made a presentation there on Islamic Humanism. Among the keynote speakers there were Karen Armstrong, John Esposito, Eboo Patel and the Chief Imam of Mecca. The Dalai Lama was also expected to be there but ill health prevented him from attending.
