Noordin Nanji appointed Vice Chair of VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, VancouverNoordin Nanji is a partner in Stikeman Elliott’s Vancouver Corporate and Securities Group. He advises public and private companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, the formation and financing of both public and private business ventures and complex strategic transactions. Mr. Nanji is is AV Peer Review Rated according to Martindale-Hubbell (Very High to Pre-eminent), its highest level of professional ranking.

Mr. Nanji was a partner with another Canadian law firm from 1989-1998. While in private practice, Mr. Nanji was cited as a Canadian leader in corporate finance, corporate commercial, and forestry law by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. He was also recognized by EuroMoney magazine as leading corporate finance counsel in the “Guide to the World’s Leading Capital Markets Lawyers.”

From 1998-2009, Mr. Nanji held various senior executive positions at Ballard Power Systems Inc. While at Ballard, Mr. Nanji was responsible for developing most of Ballard’s key strategic initiatives and held several senior executive roles, focusing on strategy, corporate and business development, intellectual property, corporate governance and complex international transactions.

Mr. Nanji has served on the Board of Directors of the United Way of the Lower Mainland and currently serves as Chairman of the Aga Khan International Conciliation and Arbitration Board.
