Join Ismaili Council for BC with VGH & UBC HOSPITAL FOUNDATION and the CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION at the 24th annual Ismaili Walk on September 20th in Stanley Park for a festive day of community building with food, activities, and live entertainment.
Hosted by The Ismaili Council for British Columbia, this year’s event will see a partnership with VGH & UBC HOSPITAL FOUNDATION and the CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION, with the goal of raising funds for:
- the JOSEPH & ROSALIE SEGAL FAMILY HEALTH CENTRE (JRSFHC), a state-of-the-art treatment facility, which is the newest mental health initiative at VGH to support mental health awareness and treatment for patients and
- the LIVING LIFE TO THE FULL (LLTTF) program, a successful cognitive behavioural therapy based course aimed to equip youth who are affected by mental health with the tools and knowledge to cope better with life’s challenges and improve their mental well-being.
The Ismaili Council for BC strives to educate and raise awareness for mental health to promote better facilities and programs like the JRSFHC and LLTTF. People of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to join in on this family-friendly, community event in Stanley Park.
