Badruddin ran his first marathon in 2007 and has been an avid runner since. To date, he has run six marathons in the Chicago area. Badruddin is running for the Aga Khan Foundation because he hopes this race will make a difference in the lives of individuals across Africa and Asia. The 2015 TCS New York Marathon is his way of combining a passion for running with a cause he believes in.

THE STORY:
After years of wanting to run a marathon, I finally ran my first one in 2007 and since then I have ran 6, all in Chicago. I thought it would be great to run a marathon in a different city and what makes it better is that I get to do it through a great charity like the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF). AKF helps out people in many different third world countries and spreads a ray of hope. This is a great opportunity for me to continue pursing my passion for running and raise money for a great cause.
