July 29, 2015, Gilgit: Ismaili District Boy Scouts Association Gilgit in collaboration with Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board organized Scout Leader Course from July 23-29, 2015 at Shah Karim Hostel Gilgit. 42 Scout Leaders from Ismaili District Boy Scouts Associations Gilgit, Punial /Ishkoman/ Hunza and Yasin Gupis Participated in the Scout Leaders Course.
The Following are the objectives of Scout Leader Course.
- To Prepare Scout Leaders
- Encourage youth to be active members of society.
- To promote scouting in Gilgit-Baltistan
- Provide platform to the youth of the region to better communicate
Closing ceremony of the Scout Leader Course was held on July 29, 2015 at 11:00 am. The following Guests graced the Closing Ceremony by their presence: Mr. Naeem Ullah Khan, President Ismaili Regional Council Gilgit; Syed Mazhar Ali Shah, President Ismaili Local Council Gilgit; Mr. Nisar Karim, President Ismaili Local Council Danyore; Mr. Shahid Rafi, Chairman AKYSB Local Danyore; Mr. Tariq Rafi Chairman AKSWB local Gilgit and Mr. Sultan, Deputy Superintend.
Mr. Naeem Ullah Khan President Regional Council Gilgit was chief guest of the ceremony. Chief Guest expressed his view regarding the activity. The chief guest appreciated the endeavors of the scouts. He Congratulate the organizing committee for successful accomplishment of the course. Syed Mazhar Ali Shah President Local council Gilgit appreciated the efforts of Scouts and Leaders for their utmost devotion. Mr. Nisar Karim President Local Council Gilgit mentioned in his speech that scouts should be disciplined in every aspects of life.
