About 45 of the 71 candidates at Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa, are set to join top universities in the world.
“Most of them have received at least three offers each from leading universities. Other have been granted scholarships,” said the academy’s acting head teacher, Simon Otieno.
“These admissions will in future help Kenya develop a sustainable pool of highly trained and competitive human resource. This will see Kenya a knowledge-based economy,” Mr Otieno said.
“They will also enhance economic development of this country, hence provide support for Vision 2030,” he added.
