The Aga Khan Youth & Sports Board for USA entered a team of paddlers in the 15th annual dragon boat race held on May 2, 2015 at Buffalo Bayou, Texas. The purpose was to participate in an adventurous sport, which is not commonly taken up by members of the community, but also to engage with the community at large. It was aimed to build bridges and carry the message of peace, love, and harmony to other communities. The event was a great success, and the team was supported and encouraged by friends, family, and members of the community.
