Importance of Education in Emergencies
By Faizaan Somani
It is important that students continue their education after disasters and in emergencies. The teachers can find alternate solutions of where and how to have classes because it does not need to be always in a school – learning can happen anywhere. The students should learn about how to deal with emergency situations and natural disasters.
Teachers should provide them emotional support and make them talk to each other so they could share their feelings and gradually feel better. Education saves lives of many kids if it is continued in emergencies. It can increase their hope for future and creates positive attitude towards their lives.
Good and relevant education will keep their health and hygiene better and provide them with required support to come out of mental trauma. They will adopt good coping skills to overcome stress and they will learn how to solve difficulties in their lives.
