ISTAR (Ismaili Students’ Total Achievement Recognition) is the Canadian Shia Ismaili Muslim community’s platform to celebrate the achievements of its youth, inspire them to new heights, develop their leadership capabilities, and nurture their sense of identity and belonging. While the competition is national in scope, all ISTAR winners are recognized and celebrated in their regions and nationally for their accomplishments and extraordinary achievements.
This year will mark the 30th anniversary of ISTAR, and will be celebrated with a National Youth Leadership Conference and a Gala in Toronto from May 28 to 30.
ISTAR will recognize the achievements of Ismaili youth in the areas of:
- Academics
- Arts & Culture
- Mathematics, Science & Technology
- Sports
- Youth Leadership & Community Service
