Montreal Gazette | Shelter: A cool condo for an avid cook & AKDN’s North American headhunter

Amin Noorani was trained as a chartered accountant. A graduate of McGill University, he has worked for large corporations like GE Capital and CAE, travelling around North America and living for a while in the United States.

While Noorani enjoyed his work, he was never passionate about it. Realizing that he was good at interviewing people and putting them at ease, he eventually decided to become a headhunter. Ten years ago, he found a position he truly loves. Noorani is now the North American recruitment manager for the Aga Khan Development Network — an umbrella agency that oversees the Ismaili leader’s worldwide organizations, which are concerned with the environment, culture, health and education.
