The minister-designate for the Ministry of Urban Development Affairs and Housing Syed Sadat Mansoor Naderi on Wednesday pledged to develop and plan a comprehensive urban development system.
Naderi was presenting his work plans to the lawmakers in the Lower House of the Parliament – Wolesi Jirga after he was nominated and introduced for the Ministry of Urban Development Affairs and Housing by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
He said Afghanistan is currently facing numerous issues in urban development sector alongside the other issues being faced by the sectors.
Naderi further added that the repatriation of the refugees from the neighboring countries and movement of people from the villages to the main cities due to economic issues have considerably contributed to the issues of the urban development.
Sadat Naderi is the former chairman of the SMN Investments and was the first and only Afghan entrepreneur who received the peace through commerce award from the US Department of State.
