Ground Breaking for the New Jamatkhana for Calgary

Calgary's new NEJK-4

The building design and materials are reminiscent of the Great Mosque of Cordoba using grey brick placed in strips as accents along the facades.

The prayer hall has been located to ensure that its orientation is facing towards Mecca, in accordance with religious tradition.

  1. Mashallah big Mubaraki to Calgary jamat. It is a beautiful design. Architect Farouk Noormohamed has again come up with such a special building and the donors have been so generous. I cannot wait to see it when it is Open.
