The Women’s Portfolio is organizing an International Women’s Day Gala at the Ismaili Centre, Burnaby Social Hall. This year’s theme is Make It Happen. International Women’s Day has been celebrated since the early 1900s. Today, in many parts of the world, it is celebrated equivalently to Mother’s Day where children gives gifts to their Mothers and Grandmothers.
