Karim Pirani, the 2014 Cox-Just Prize recipient. Karim Pirani is a 2014 graduate of the College, where he majored in History and Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies. He researched and wrote his B.A. thesis, Nascent Activism in a New Asian American Landscape: Gender, Media, and Politics after Vincent Chin with the guidance of his faculty advisor, Matthew Briones and his preceptor, Jaclyn Sumner.
