In 2010, Alfaan Manji, 35, was diagnosed with an incurable cancerous tumour of the spine. An innovative spinal surgery at Toronto Western is giving him a second chance at life.
Alfaan Manji, his wife Zahra Kaba and Dr. Raj Rampersaud meet again at Toronto Western Hospital. Rampersaud led the spinal surgery team during all of Manji’s operations. The complex spinal tumour resection surgery removed a tumour the size of a medium Tim Hortons coffee cup.
