June 4, 2014: Princess Zahra Aga Khan, head of the Social Welfare Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), will visit Aga Khan School in Dhaka on the occasion of its Silver Jubilee on Thursday.
She was scheduled to arrive in the city on Wednesday and would leave on Thursday late night after attending the Aga Khan School’s 25th anniversary where she will address the students and teachers, said an official.
Princess Zahra is the head of the Social Welfare Department (SWD) of Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
She has a policy and management responsibility for the health, education and planning and building Services Companies. Zahra is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Aga Khan University.
The Aga Khan School in Dhaka, an institution of the Aga Khan Education Services – one of the nine agencies of the AKDN – is part of an international network of 240 schools in South Asia, Central Asia and East Africa.
