Reflection: Hazrat Mawlana Ali – The Lion of Allah

The strongest relation is the one between you and Allah.

Realize this truth, my son, that the Lord Who owns and holds the treasure of the heaven and the earth has given you permission to ask and beg for it, and has promised to grant your prayers. He has told you to pray for His favors that they may be bestowed. He has not appointed guards to keep your prayers from reaching Him. Nor is there any need for anybody to intercede with Him on your behalf.

Think that by simply granting you the privilege of praying for His Favors and Mercies, He has handed over the keys of His Treasures to you. Whenever you are in need, you pray and He confers His Favors and Blessings.

LA FATA IL-LA’ALY, LA SAYFA IL-LA DHUL-FIQAR

There is no hero except ‘Aly, there is no sword  except (his sword) ‘Zulfiqar’

This is the Fatimid version of the sword Samsam which has been carved on the Gates of Old Cairo City, namely Bab-ul-Futuh. The Sword belonged to Ameerul Mo'mineen Ali ibn Abi Talib and after him with his progeny, the Imams of the Shias. Even as majority of the Muslims have imagined towards the double blade and the moon shape of the sword. The Fatimid Imam, Imam Moiz SA and under his permission, The Commander in Chief of the Fatimid Army, Badral Jamali AQ, built the Gates and got the image of the sword carved in the stone. This image shows the sword with the shield and the unsheathed sword without the shield.
