The Institute of Public Policy and Administration (IPPA) was launched in 2011 as the first initiative of UCA’s Graduate School of Development. The School aims to foster a stimulating, innovative and rigorous inquiry into issues relating to the socio-economic development of Central Asia, particularly its vast mountain regions.
To accomplish this goal the School will be engaged in a programme of policy research and dissemination, and graduate education through several institutes, the first of which is IPPA. UCA is building simultaneously three fully-residential campuses in Tekeli (Kazakhstan), Naryn (Kyrgyz Republic) and Khorog (Tajikistan) that will open their doors to undergraduate and graduate education in a number of years. IPPA is currently focussing on policy analysis, dissemination and professional development activities and will offer graduate programmes in public policy and administration once the residential campuses are completed.
