The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), Serena Hotels, Lions Kenya, local schools and members of the Hombe Community in Nyeri County came together to plant 11,000 trees on the morning of 9th December 2013.
This culminated the launch of an initiative that will see the organizations plant 10Million trees in 2014 alone spread across various parts of the country. As of November 2013, they had altogether- jointly planted over 7 million trees.
