Here’s the way the Golden Goal is covered in my book – and how Canada’s laws evolved over the years and the Uganda Asians’ success contributed to Canada adopting the Multiculturalism Law in 1987. Nothing of what you see on these pages came “ready-made” from the Internet – not even PM Trudeau’s page. I had to edit out what to me were inessential details. In the Hockey coverage I had to go to 3-4 sources to make up the composite. On the RHS we get the Big Mac ingredients that kids were memorising and then that gem of the story about how the Hockey Series affected the negotiations between H H Aga Khan and PM Trudeau. I discover the story of Najak and that is brought in too. When Peter Mansbridge interviewed His Highness for his One on One series Najak asked specifically to help on the production. -Vali Jamal
