This work is devoted to the analysis of the competitive environment and the definition of concentration in markets of the Kyrgyz Republic (KR). Empirical estimates of the main indicators of the competitive environment, and concentration on the major commodity markets of the KR are considered and compared. The research methodology is based on the analysis of existing and developing methodological guidelines of antitrust authorities and the relevant legislation of the KR, publications on the quantitative assessment and analysis of industrial markets. The research calculation are based on the official statistics of National Statistics Committee and the antitrust authorities of the KR. Also, paper provides recommendations to improve the methodological approaches used by antitrust authorities of the KR to assess the market structure and concentration.
