Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa: Annual Survivors Day organised by the Breast Cancer Awareness Support GroupCoastweek — The Breast Cancer Awareness Support Group (BCASG) of the Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa celebrated their Annual Survivors Day on Friday 29th October at the Sarova Whitesands Hotel and Spa. They had lots of stimulating activities for the survivors lined up providing a day filled with fun and laughter for the ladies. Breast Cancer Survivors of Coast (BRECASCO) a self-help group of breast cancer survivors (a brain-child of BCASG) started with 20 members and has now grown to 110 members. They are active in creating awareness, counseling newly diagnosed patients and provide emotional and social support to its members. Seen in the picture are members of BCASG, BRECASCO and survivors headed by BCASG Chairlady Beckie Smith and Dr Sultana Sherman, their Management Representative at The Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa.
