Coastweek — The Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa together with their Breast Cancer Awareness Support Group (BCASG) held a free breast cancer screening camp at the hospital on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th 2013.
550 Women and 4 Men were screened, 77 Breast Ultra-sounds, 20 Fine Needle Aspirations and 10 Core Biopsies were done free.
Women were also taught how to undertake their self-breast examinations.
The team that worked tirelessly to make the event a success included doctors from Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa, Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi, members of BCASG and Breast Cancer Survivors of Coast (BRECASCO).
