Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC), in partnership with Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), is pleased to announce the 2013 University Seminar Series – an opportunity for Canadians to interact with development practitioners and learn more about key issues and challenges in the field. The series will be held across Canada this fall.
The 2013 University Seminar Series will focus on the challenges and successes of maternal, newborn, and child health in the developing world. This year’s distinguished speakers are Rudoba Rakhmatova, Senior Health Programme Officer with Aga Khan Foundation Tajikistan and Aditi Iyer, Research Director, Centre for Public Policy, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Drawing on examples from Nigeria and East Africa, the speakers will provide a window into the health context of their respective regions.
Co-presented by the Aga Khan Health Board for Canada, Dr. Rakhmatova and Dr. Iyer will be presenting over lunch at the Ismaili Centre Burnaby.
