New Delhi is trying to outdo New York City’s Central Park. Efforts are underway to carve a 1,200-acre green space by adjoining many such smaller spaces in the central part of India’s capital. Quartz asked the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, the folks behind the restoration, for photos and renderings of the grand plan.

New Delhi does need 1,200-acre land of green space. It is, indeed very wonderful news that it is really happening that India is investing in green space in collaboration with ‘the Aga Khan Trust for Culture and restoration.’ Hats off to His Highness the Aga Khan for His initiative in creating the green in Delhi which is not only a singular project in South Asia but several similar projects on small and large sales has been created in Africa and Middle East.
