Calgary, Alberta, August 22, 2013: “Rays of Light; Glimpses into the Ismaili Imamat” opens for a limited engagement in Calgary on August 24th at the Telus Convention Centre. A multi-dimensional exhibition that has toured Paris, Dubai, Lisbon, Uganda and the United States, it is dedicated to celebrating 50 years of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan’s efforts in serving humanity, against the backdrop of the 1400-year history of Ismaili Imamat. Calgary is the third of six planned Canadian stops.

Rays of Light is an experiential exhibit that aims to inspire and stimulate visitors.The exhibit is organized around five main themes: Hope, Identity, Confluence, Harmony, and Enlightenment. These “pictures -in- action” showcase His Highness the Aga Khan’s work, through the Aga Khan Development Network, in increasing global engagement and promoting equitable human advancement and social justice throughout the world – as part of the mandate of the office of the Ismaili Imamat.
