The first is on stage in the Italian Gardens at the Pacific National Exhibition in a remount of the hit musical Bollywood Wedding, the second is happening in real life later this year where she’s trying to keep things as low key as possible.
The Vancouver actress who plays a “Bridezilla” in Bollywood Wedding, told The Sun she’s expecting her offstage wedding to be a lot less dramatic.
“We have planned to do a very small intimate marriage signing ceremony with just our parents and our siblings.”
One reason Jiwa and her fiancée have decided to keep their ceremony low-key is that over the last few years she’s played the bride several times on stage.
“This is my fifth time playing a bride and as soon as I imagine myself walking down the aisle with 150 people watching me I don’t know if it’s going to feel like I’m on stage, if it’s going to feel real,” Jiwa says. “I just want it to be really authentic and personal. I want to enjoy that moment without worrying about the audience.”
