Arif Velji is a convenor for performing arts to Arts and Culture portfolio for BC Ismaili Jamat. He is a Choreographer and Artistic Director by profession. Since Golden Jubilee, Arif has staged many productions as well as fashion shows for the community. With around 190 participants, including actors, dancers and Ismaili Choir, Arif has directed and wrote the play ‘SAFAR’ (a play highlighting Hazar Imams AKTC projects with traditional dances from each country). He also wrote and directed a play called “OASIS The Journey” – a play on the Silk Route and the floor show for PNE at the Ismaili games for BC.
Farah Kassam is a choreographer, she is a trained classical as well as contemporary dancer who has been Arif Velji’s choreographer in all the above projects.
