Citizenship Ceremony for 40 new Canadians from 33 countries at the Ismaili Centre

Ismaili Centre, Burnaby, 25th Anniversary CommemorationOn Friday, June 7, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and the Institute for Canadian Citizenship (ICC) will welcome 40 new Canadians from 33 places of origin at a special community citizenship ceremony at the Ismaili Centre in Burnaby.

Prior to the ceremony, the ICC will hold another in its series of community-led roundtable discussions, organized by its local volunteer committee. The roundtable is a unique experience: community leaders are invited to guide a conversation with new citizens that encourages the sharing of stories and a collective reflection on citizenship and the significance of the day’s ceremony.
