More Calgary seniors will be able to age at home in their communities with 692 new supportive living spaces for the city announced by the province Monday.
Alberta Health Minister Fred Horne made the announcement at the Multi-Generational Housing and Community Centre in Skyview Ranch, one of four Calgary recipients of $49 million granted through the government’s Affordable Supportive Living Initiative.
“As they reach their senior years it is our turn to care for them, to contribute to their quality of life and to respect and uphold their dignity as very important members of our society, and one way we do that is by helping seniors stay in their homes and communities,” Horne said.
An Enabling environment for the seniors amongst us,tap into the wisdom of the seniors and having young people in the lives of the seniors… idyllic!!
Pools of hope.
Hope many communities follow your example.
