However, this is what undergraduate student Gulzira Kamytzhanova experienced listening to her professor Dr Elmira Köchümkulova perform on the Kyrgyz instrument komuz, in a ground-breaking new course on Central Asian Music offered by the University of Central Asia (UCA).
