Serena hotels joined the rest of the world in marking World Environment Day 2013 by conducting a cleanup exercise in and around Central Park, Nairobi and a tree-planting exercise at the Serena Lodges.
WED is celebrated every year on 5 June to raise global awareness of the need to take positive environmental action. It is run by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
