…on the way back from Palitana we called the President of the Bhavnagar Ismaili Council to see if we could arrange a visit of the Bhavnagar Gupti Jamatkhana (Mosque). I had led an article discussion on the Guptis of Bhavnagar earlier in the year, the Guptis being an Ismaili community under the Imami authority who conduct their practices in much the same way as Ismailis, but appear Hindu externally, for example by cremating their deceased. The president happily obliged, and we arranged to meet him as soon as we could as it was Chandraat.
