CA-NEWS (TJ) – As part of the Agreement on Technical and Financial Cooperation as well as Humanitarian Aid concluded between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Swiss Confederation in 1999, the Government of Switzerland has provided a USD 1.7 million grant to assist the Government of Tajikistan in meeting its social protection obligation arising in respect of provision of electricity to the low income residential consumers in Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast.
