Islamabad: Exploring the traditional shared values of mystic music from the mountain region of Chitral, Hunza, Peshawar, and Afghanistan, the evening of ‘Mystic Mountain Music’ held at National Art Gallery on Sunday mesmerised the packed to capacity audience with diverse vocal and musical presentations.
Organised by Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) and the Aga Khan Cultural Service Pakistan (AKCSP) in collaboration with the Embassy of France in Pakistan, the musical potpourri titled ‘Dialogue Through Tradition Bearers’ presented enriching traditional compositions including instrumentals based on the universal themes of love and life in the mountains of Pakistan and Afghanistan. The ambiance and backdrop of the stage setting and the traditional costumes adorned by the artists from Chitral, Hunza, Peshawar and Afghanistan meshed beautifully with the music that touched the soul of the audience.
