A recent training was provided for the staff on the UK Phase 1 ‘Letters and Sounds’ activities that help children develop their auditory discrimination and listening skills, skills which are important to develop before children embark on learning letters. Staff were also introduced to the Jolly Phonics programme which is introduced to children in the Preschool. The programme uses visual, auditory and kinesthetic techniques to help children learn the letter sounds.
