Almas Jiwani, the president of the UN Women National Committee Canada, will received the International Women Development Champion Award 2013 in Paris later this month, it was announced Sunday.
She will receive the prestigious award at the International Conference on African Women Development happening March 21-24.
Jiwani will speak about the importance of promoting women’s involvement in the business sector and the need to include women as key economic actors in Africa’s growing small and medium scale enterprises.
