When Zubeida Ramji came to Canada, she was a teenager and spoke perfect English. So one would imagine it would have been easy for her to integrate and meld into the Canadian system.

But that was not the case. As a young newcomer, she faced a couple of unique issues. “Speaking ‘Canadian English’ and getting oriented to a very different education system” were her biggest challenges.
