(Toronto) Ontario Liberal Leadership Candidate Kathleen Wynne made the following statement on December 13th, the birthday of His Highness Prince Aga Khan:
“Today Ismailis here in Ontario and around the world will celebrate the 76th birthday of their Imam, His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan. The Aga Khan is the 49th Ismaili Imam who, for the entirety of his Imamat, has devoted himself to the spiritual and worldly progress of Ismailis everywhere.
Here in Ontario his foundation, devoted to improving the lives of so many around the world, and his project for the Aga Khan Museum, the largest of its kind devoted to Muslim Art and Culture, are just two of the visionary initiatives he has begun and championed, not just for Ismaili Muslims but for all Ontarians to become involved in and enjoy.
On this special occasion, I would like to wish all Ismaili community our very best wishes for the Imam’s seventy-sixth birthday.
Salgirah Khushiali Mubarak!”
