Xavian Panjwani, 11, tries to solve a global issue much older than him by selling lemonade, one glass at a time.
“He has been involved with the fight to end global poverty through the Aga Khan Foundation’s Partnership Walk for the past two years,” says the boy’s father, Malik Panjwani. “His goal has been to raise more funds and awareness each year by coming up with new ideas.”
This year, he organized a “Partnership Lemon-AID” stand in Sugar Land with the help of friends, family, and local businesses such as Starbucks, Buffalo Wild Wings, Raising Canes Chicken, and Houston Museum of Natural Science. Xavian raised $1200 with a goal to spark hope in the lives of many living in extreme poverty.
But Xavian is not alone.
There are many like him who work passionately each year in their own innovative ways to help fight global poverty.
