Dushanbe, 4 April 2012 — Mawlana Hazar Imam arrived in Tajikistan for a brief one-day visit, and was received by the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Hamrokhon Zarifi, as well as AKDN and Jamati leaders.
-snip- President Rahmon hosted a lunch reception in Mawlana Hazar Imam’s honour. This was followed by Hazar Imam’s meeting, at the Ismaili Centre, Dushanbe, with the leadership of the newly-established Jamati institutions in Tajikistan.
The establishment of a Jamati institutional structure for the Tajikistan Jamat is a historic step forward in Mawlana Hazar Imam’s endeavour to introduce in that country Ismaili Constitutional bodies and processes, in common with those that have been established in other parts of the world.
